چکیده
Abstract Drip irrigation has the potential to help farmers increase crop production with lower on-farm water consumption than flood or sprinkler irrigation; yet, its high costs keep it out of reach for many smallholder farmers, who make up about 20 $$\%$$ % world’s population. Pressure-compensating (PC) drip emitters enable uniform delivery all crops in a field by regulating emitter flow rate, but typically require pumping pressures, contributing capital and operating pump power system. Redesigning PC pressure operation could more energy-efficient affordable systems. However, current lack published design theory hinders development desired hydraulic performance. To address this gap, we present an analytical, parametric model behavior (i.e., rate versus curve) inline before flow-regulating regime. We combine validated prototyping method demonstrate utility target activation pressures rates, sample that achieves 38 commercial similar rates. The proposed sheds light on relationships between geometry It may inform R&D efforts industry lead improved designs low helping reduce system access among farmers.

Drip irrigation is a new method of irrigation that is rapidly growing in different countries. The emitters are the most important parts of a drip irrigation system. Many factors such as physical, chemical and biological clogging, pressure, water temperature affect the emitter´s uniformity of water emission. In this study, to investigate pressure effect on the hydraulic performance of emitters, ...
متن کاملModeling the future of irrigation: A parametric description of pressure compensating drip irrigation emitter performance
Drip irrigation is a means of distributing the exact amount of water a plant needs by dripping water directly onto the root zone. It can produce up to 90% more crops than rain-fed irrigation, and reduce water consumption by 70% compared to conventional flood irrigation. Drip irrigation may enable millions of poor farmers to rise out of poverty by growing more and higher value crops, while not c...

Introduction Pressure ulcers are tissue damages resulting from blood flow restriction, which occurs when the tissue is exposed to high pressure for a long period of time. These painful sores are common in patients and elderly, who spend extended periods of time in bed or wheelchair. In this study, a continuous pressure and temperature monitoring system was developed for pressure ulcer preventio...

In this study, a three–layer artificial neural network (ANN) model was developed to predict the pressure gradient in horizontal liquid–liquid separated flow. A total of 455 data points were collected from 13 data sources to develop the ANN model. Superficial velocities, viscosity ratio and density ratio of oil to water, and roughness and inner diameter of pipe were used as input parameters of ...
